A house for a family in Stevns, Eastern Sealand.

First, a 40 sqm annex was designed and built to house the family while the main house was constructed. The core of the main house is the foundation, floor slab and most of the outer walls of an existing house where the family used to live. The husband is a thatcher, which inspired us to work with thatch; in a quite traditional way as with the annex, and as facade cladding and insulation on the main house. Water reed is indeed a superior building material.
